Tragedy struck during the Reach for the Sky ladder match for the vacant ROH World Tag Team Titles at the ROH Supercard of Honor event, leaving fans and wrestlers alike reeling from the sudden turn of events. Top Flight’s Dante Martin suffered a devastating foot/ankle injury that left him stretchered out of the arena. Tony Khan has now confirmed Dante Martin was taken to the hospital.

The injury happened in the closing moments of the intense match, as Dante Martin attempted a daring Canadian Destroyer spot off a ladder bridge and through stacked tables placed in the outside area. Unfortunately, the move didn’t go as planned and Dante Martin landed awkwardly, resulting in a painful injury.

While speaking during the post-event media scrum, ROH owner Tony Khan confirmed Dante Martin’s injury but refrained from commenting on the extent of it.

Tony Khan stated that Martin was currently receiving medical attention at the hospital and that he and the rest of the wrestling community were eagerly awaiting a positive update on his condition.

”Dante is in pain, but I’m wishing the best for him. We’re all praying for Dante. He’s an amazing wrestler. Obviously, his brother has been through serious injuries and missed time. We love Darius, too, and missed him when he was out. I guess Dante will also be out of action for some time.”

Tony Khan continued expressing his deep concern for Dante Martin’s well-being and emphasizing the impact that his injury had on the entire wrestling community.

”We look forward to Darius taking the time to grow and learn from it. Dante is someone who is going to be with us for a very, very long time. I care very much about Dante. I’ve got to him know him since he came up with us during the Pandemic, and this [injury] hurt a lot of people in the back, including myself. But it hurt nobody more than poor Dante, and we just hope he’s going to be okay.”

It is certainly unfortunate that Dante Martin had to suffer such an injury at the event. We wish the young talent a speedy recovery and hope he can return to doing what he loves the most as soon as possible.
