WWE’s biggest event of the year always brings a lot of attention. That being said, there is no off-season in WWE, so the story never really ends. Cody Rhodes realizes that in a big way.
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns are set to throw down in the main event of WrestleMania 39’s second night. This was Cody Rhodes’ destination the moment he punched his ticket by winning the 2023 Royal Rumble match.
That match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title has a lot of hype behind it, because many fans are anticipating a changing of the guard at the show of shows.
While speaking to ESPN, Cody Rhodes was asked what would happen if he lost to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. For Cody Rhodes, finishing his story is going to happen, it’s just a matter of where it takes place.
“What do you do when you do three dots? an ellipses? [Yeah]. So, that would be an ellipses then. I wouldn’t say it would be the end of the story as much as we’d have to find out. It would be on me. It would really be on me. Hey, you’ve 3-0 with Seth Rollins, won the Royal Rumble, and if that situation was to come up, and I’m not going into this looking as it as a match that I’m gonna lose, but you can. You can lose this thing. It would be on me to come back with the same fervor if not even more to try and still finish the story.”
Cody Rhodes is trying hard to finish his story, and fans will see how it all plays out in the main event of WrestleMania’s second night. Only time will tell if the American Nightmare is able to pull off the biggest win of his career, but his story wouldn’t be over regardless of the outcome.
