Bray Wyatt returned to WWE with a ton of hype behind him. His Firefly Fun House friends seemed to appear as people with masks on, and the rumor mill started churning in a big way. That Wyatt6 faction might not happen after all.
WWE has their eyes on a lot of pro wrestlers on the indies, and they had an idea for Vincent and Dutch. The former ROH tag team didn’t get a WWE contract, as we previously reported.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Vincent and Dutch received WWE tryouts, but they didn’t receive any offer from the company. It’s unknown whether they rejected a deal, because that was never said. At this time, all we know is that deals were never completed.
In addition to Vincent and Dutch not getting WWE contracts, it seems that plans for them went away with that. It was reported that WWE had plans to bring them in for Bray Wyatt’s stable, but now it’s described as a “wait-and-see situation.”
Regarding questions on Vincent and Dutch, they had a tryout a few months ago but haven’t been signed, nor as far as we know, turned down either. The idea at the time was for them to be part of Bray Wyatt’s stable. It was described to me as a wait-and-see situation
Bray Wyatt was pulled from his WrestleMania match against Bobby Lashley. Wyatt has been suffering from an illness for weeks, and he wasn’t medically cleared. The exact nature of his issues have not been disclosed.
Only time will tell if and when Bray Wyatt returns to WWE television. Sadly, he will miss another showcase of the immortals, and the big pay check that goes with it. We’ll have to see if WWE ever circles back around to the idea of giving Wyatt his own stable once again.
