Sami Zayn has been truly in the spotlight over the last year. He received tremendous support from the fans during the Bloodline storyline and has established himself as the top contender in the company. However, there has been massive speculation around the main event of WWE WrestleMania 39 Day 1 and Sami Zayn still seems to be hopeful about being a part of the main event.

The former Intercontinental Champion was at the peak of his career in WWE due to his association with the Bloodline last year. The storyline is regarded as the best feud told in the last decade. But now, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are scheduled to face The Usos for the Undisputed WWE tag team Championship at WrestleMania Day 1, but the placement of the match remains unclear. Night 2 of WrestleMania 39 is impressive, with Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes closing out the show, but night 1 is another story.

While speaking to BT Sport reporter Ariel Helwani at a hotel lobby in Los Angeles, Sami Zayn voiced his hope that he will still get that main event match.

“That remains to be seen.”

Ariel Helwani then termed the match the “most anticipated tag team match in WrestleMania history” since Hulk Hogan and Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff on the inaugural WrestleMania.

“It is insane. If we do go on last, which remains to be seen, it would be the first time since WrestleMania 1. And it would be the first tag team title match of all time [to the main event]. That’s something.”

Given the amount of time the story has been on television, it seems fair to deliver the climax of the entire Bloodline-Sami feud at the showcase of the immortals. Fans are waiting for the match and its placement on the show, so it will be very interesting to see where it lands.
