WWE is a global company that really loves flexing numbers, especially when it comes to their viewership. While pro wrestling is historically a male-dominated passion, it seems that there are an increasing number of women who want to see the action.

During First Take, WWE CEO Nick Khan appeared, where he hyped WrestleMania 39. During his appearance, he was asked about how WWE represents women, and he opened up a bit about this.

After pointing out that women in sports do not have the same professionally paying options that men do, Nick Khan dropped a bombshell that 40% of WWE’s viewership is female.

“I think when you look at female athletes, it’s made a huge impact, because if you look at things, where do you make money after college in the women’s sports world? Male have the MLB, NBA, all this. For women it’s a huge opportunity for them with us.”

It was also noted that 40% of WWE’s audience is women, and they are able to pull that off, because “we have something for everybody.” The company has a lot of things planned for fans, and they have to cater to all demographics, especially the growing section of that viewership that is female.

We will have to see how a new owner might deal with this situation. WWE certainly produces something for everyone, and the proof is in the numbers.

What’s your take on WWE’s female viewership? Are you surprised that it is so large? Sound off in the comments!
