Kofi Kingston is undoubtedly a seasoned veteran in the professional wrestling industry, having dedicated over a decade to his career in WWE. He has participated in numerous unforgettable matches and earned several championship titles. Kingston recently sustained an injury and underwent surgery for the same. Now it seems he shared a positive update regarding his recovery after surgery.
Earlier this month on SmackDown, Kofi Kingston was part of a segment that also featured Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Karrion Kross, and LA Knight. This segment resulted in a 5-way match to determine the number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship, which will be defended by GUNTHER.
As previously reported, Kofi Kingston is currently dealing with an injury. Due to this, his status for WrestleMania 39 became doubtful and now it is certain he won’t be there for the event as an in-ring performer.
Kofi Kingston also underwent successful ankle surgery for his injury. Kofi Kingston took to Twitter and uploaded a video of his stitches being removed, indicating that he is making a positive recovery after his surgery.
STITCHES OUT MY BODY
Kofi Kingston’s initial recovery timeline was five weeks, but that will be longer now as Kingston will be undergoing surgery today. In the past year, all three members of The New Day have been hampered by injuries. Big E has been out of action since last March with a broken neck, which remains an indefinite injury. We’ll have to see when Kingston will be able to make his in-ring return.
