Drew McIntyre rose from being an enhancement talent to becoming one of the most beloved and legitimate top stars of WWE. His second stint with the company was a complete career resurgence, and he made an impressive mark with some great matches against top-tier talents. However, one man omitted from his wish list is none other than The Undertaker.
The Undertaker was the longest-tenured performer in WWE history with a career spanning over three decades. The Phenom took the final bow from the ring and retired back in 2020.
However, one of The Undertaker’s last bouts did involve Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior teamed up with Shane McMahon to battle The Lord of Darkness and his unlikely ally, Roman Reigns in a losing effort at WWE Extreme Rules in 2019.
That being said, Drew McIntyre never had the opportunity to go one-on-one with the legendary Undertaker inside the squared circle in his second run. During a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, McIntyre called out the Last Outlaw to return for ‘one more match.’
“Come on mate [Undertaker], you can do it, we’ll do one of these cinematic matches if you want, but I know you could do it if you wanted to.”
The Undertaker and Drew McIntyre did face each other in a match in 2010. However, that was at the beginning of Drew’s young career and the end of Taker’s run as a full-time performer. While there is likely any chance to see the Deadman return to the ring, it looks like McIntyre has not lost hope on that.
Do you think The Undertaker will respond to Drew McIntyre’s challenge? Will he consider it? Sound off in the comments!
