MJF is one of the most popular stars on the AEW roster today, and his mic skills have irked fans and peers alike. The 27-year-old gets a massive reaction from the crowd every time he comes to the ring.

Speaking to LA Times, Tony Khan called MJF one of the best pro wrestling heels of any age. Khan said he initially thought about turning MJF babyface due to the incredible crowd reactions, but ditched the idea.

“I listen to the fans. When the reactions were so massive, I had to at least think about [making MJF a good guy], but MJF is the world’s best young pro wrestler and one of the best pro wrestling heels of any age I’ve ever seen and I think his ability to antagonize the other wrestlers and the crowd is unparalleled. AEW is at its strongest when MJF is at his worst as a villain.”

The AEW World Champion is not currently scheduled to make a live appearance on the upcoming episode of Dynamite. While the reasons for his absence remain unclear, it has been reported that he has been seen in Los Angeles this week. Click here to read the card for AEW Dynamite.
