Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double Or Nothing 2019 and became one of the mainstays of the company since then. He continues to be an integral part of the company and no one denies that fact. Moxley is currently a heel in AEW but it seems he was blasted for having a theme song that fans love despite his character.
Jon Moxley is currently one of the members of The Blackpool Combat Club and has become one of the most dominant stars in the company. However, Jim Cornette is not of the same opinion right now.
In a recent episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, Cornette questioned why Jon Moxley was being presented as a heel and pointed out how little Castagnoli was doing in the BCC. Cornette then went on to talk about Moxley’s entrance and criticized the same.
Jim Cornette said that Moxley comes out to the song “Wild Thing,” which the audience loves and sings along with, but then tries to get heat by beating up his opponent in the ring. Cornette suggested that if they didn’t play Moxley’s music, they could save money and still have the same effect.
And Moxley? He’s a heel but people like to sing ‘Wild Thing’ so he comes out and they’re all cheering and singing his song and he gets in the ring and tries to get heat by beating up this f**king guy. (…) Don’t play the f**king music! And you’ll save money.
Jon Moxley is currently feuding with The Dark Order and Adam Page on AEW television. We will have to wait and see what will become of Moxley in the coming weeks, as fans are not as invested in his storyline right now.
