Britt Baker has certainty come a long way since re-signing with AEW in September 2021. The D.M.D. is currently one of the most popular stars on the AEW roster. That being said, it seems Britt won’t chase after the AEW Women’s World Championship, at least in the foreseeable future.

Britt Baker lost the AEW Women’s World Championship to Thunder Rosa in a steel cage match on the March 16, 2022, episode of Dynamite. Since then, the doctor hasn’t been that much active in her pursuit of the top title in the women’s division, instead focusing her attention on The Outcasts (Saraya, Toni Storm and Ruby Soho).
Speaking to DraftKings for a new interview, Britt Baker cleared the air on rumors that she’ll challenge best friend Jamie Hayter for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Britt said she wasn’t interested in making the move because it was Jamie’s time to shine in the division.
“Jamie Hayter is my girl. She has the championship title. I am not interested in stripping that off her because this is her time. I want to face everybody because I think our women’s division is on the way to being one of the best in the world. Bring them on. Bring them all on.”
Jamie Hayter won the interim women’s title at the Full Gear pay-per-view event on November 19, 2022. She was then made the undisputed champion after Thunder Tosa relinquished the lineal title due to her injury.
Jamie Hayter will defend her title against Riho next week on AEW Dynamite. Click here to read the card announced so far for next week’s show in New York.
