AEW has their eyes on several people outside the company, and they’ve even brought a few people in. The company is very interested in three specific luchadors, but they don’t have them locked into a deal despite booking them.

El Hijo Del Vikingo debuted on March 23rd on Dynamite against Kenny Omega. That match was outstanding, and saw him get a booking on ROH Supercard of Honor. Also, Komander worked an AEW ladder match when Vikingo couldn’t fill that spot. He is also working Supercard of Honor.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Dralistico is “in the same boat” as Vikingo and Komander. He went on to explain that they are under per night appearance deals with AEW.

Fightful asked about the contract status of each of the three, and were told that they’re all currently on nightly deals. However, we’ve been told there has been some conversation about more with Dralistico at the very least.

AEW has a lot of places that they can use talented luchadors, and so does WWE. It’s interesting to note that the report went on to further say that, “Over the past year, in numerous cases, when a lucha talent would appear on AEW TV without a contract, they’d quickly be contacted by WWE.”

We’ll have to see what’s next for AEW’s roster, because Tony Khan could always go on another hiring spree, debuting a new talent each week. For now, it seems that those three exceptional talents are working on per night deals.

What’s your take on AEW bringing in so many people on per night deals? Is it best for business? Sound off in the comments!
