WrestleMania 39 is one of the most highly anticipated Premium Live Events. The event will be held at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on April 1st and 2nd. Now it seems WWE could have trouble keeping the live crowd throughout WrestleMania 39.

Cody Rhodes is one of the most highly anticipated matches of the night. Roman Reigns has been on an impressive run as champion, but Rhodes is a proven performer and could pose a serious threat to his reign. This match promises to be a hard-fought battle between two of the best in the business.

The other championship matches on the card also look to be highly entertaining, with Charlotte Flair defending her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair defending her WWE Raw Women’s Championship against Asuka.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer made an interesting observation about the length of wrestling shows and the potential impact it can have on the crowd’s enthusiasm. Meltzer stated that last year the general idea was that three and a half hours was a suitable length for a wrestling show. However, going any longer could start to work against the show’s overall impact.

It was noted that there is a potential issue with having a long show in Los Angeles, citing the city’s reputation for being an “early leaving crowd.” This concern was particularly relevant for the match between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley, who Dave Meltzer suggested might struggle to keep the crowd engaged for the entirety of a long show.

Despite this concern, it was suggested that there were some matches that would likely keep the crowd interested throughout the entire show. He specifically mentioned Cody and Roman Reigns as two wrestlers who were likely to draw a passionate crowd that would stick around until the end of the event.

To support his argument, Dave Meltzer referenced a previous WrestleMania event that took place in Anaheim, California. During that event, which featured Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, many fans left early. However, it was also noted that this show was unique in that a significant number of fans had come specifically to see the Ultimate Warrior, which may have contributed to the early exits.

”The idea last year, this is not this year, this is last year, was 3 1/2 hours. The idea is 3 1/2 hours is long enough for a show. Going any longer will probably start going against you. Especially in Los Angeles, because the one thing about Los Angeles is an early leaving crowd, which could happen for Charlotte and Rhea Ripley. I don’t think they’re leaving early before Cody and Roman Reigns. I was at the WrestleMania in Anaheim with Bret and Shawn, and a lot of the crowd left early in that one. But that show, so many people were there to see the Ultimate Warrior.”

Overall, the WrestleMania card looks to be a must-see event for wrestling fans, featuring some of the biggest stars in the industry competing in some of the most exciting matches of the year. We’ll have whether the crowd will remain throughout the event.
