Cody Rhodes is currently one of the most beloved stars in the world of WWE right now. His star continues to shine bright no matter what and fans are clearly behind him. He made his way from AEW to WWE and it seems Matt Cardona has a high opinion of Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes suddenly left AEW in February last year, leaving fans in shock. Before his exit, Rhodes was a standout performer in AEW, helping put over numerous talent with his solid performances inside the squared circle.

Cody Rhodes was frequently booed in AEW toward the very end of his run with the company. Fans simply wanted him to turn heel no matter what, but that never happened. Rhodes also would not want to change a thing about that.

While speaking on Casual Conversations With The Classic, Matt Cardona talked about Cody Rhodes jumping ship to WWE from AEW. Cardona stated that the move was simply unprecedented.

“What he has done recently is unprecedented. First of all, being the first guy to jump from AEW to WWE, there could only be one first, right? There can only be one. And the fact that he brought his entire look, music, logo … That has never been done in wrestling history. Never. That’s unprecedented and I give them all the props in the world for having the vision to do that.”

Cody Rhodes is also the favorite to defeat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. We will have to wait and see whether The American Nightmare will be able to defeat Roman Reigns and make history.

Are you excited for WrestleMania 39? Do you think Cody Rhodes will finally put an end to Roman Reigns’ title run? Sound off in the comments!
