WWE is making plans for after WrestleMania, and that has brought reports out of the woodwork. There are also a few injured Superstars who could be ready for a return to television, but fans of Tommaso Ciampa might not want to hold their breath.
Tommaso Ciampa suffered another injury in 2022, and he’s on the road to recovery. The last we heard from Ciampa, he was getting stem cell treatments. That won’t stop his name from churning in the rumor mill.
WRKD Wrestling reported on Twitter that WWE discussed reuniting the DIY tag team on the main roster coming out of WrestleMania. Their report stated that WWE is looking to link Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa back up with each other.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn aren’t the only “Frenemies” reuniting. There’s talks of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa linking up on the main roster after #WrestleMania with Gargano going as far as to say this during an interview this week.
Ringside News reached out to confirm this story, but we were not able to. In fact, we were told by a tenured member of the creative team that, “I’ve heard no creative for Ciampa.”
We will have to see what the future holds for Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano. Right now, only one of the two is an active WWE Superstar, with Ciampa hoping to make a return, so he can finish his story on the WWE main roster.
