Charlotte Flair is considered one of the top generational talents in the modern era of WWE. Flair’s exceptional athleticism and in-ring abilities made her a top attraction in WWE’s women’s division. Moreover, her long stint and illustrious career in the global juggernaut gave her the confidence to proclaim a bold statement.
Charlotte Flair was featured in an A&E Biography: WWE Legends show recently. That does not mean that she is prepared to even consider the idea of retiring anytime soon.
WWE Hall of Famer Madusa recently stated that she would like to square off against Charlotte Flair in a retirement match. During an interview with CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri, Charlotte Flair boldly stated that the wrestler to put an end to her career does not exist in the business yet.
“It’s so hard because I don’t know what the landscape is going to look like. “There’s a difference from passing the torch and a retirement match. I don’t know, maybe — I don’t know if that person exists yet.”
Charlotte Flair also jokingly said that her inclusion in the recent A&E Biography episode might be WWE’s way to expel her from the company. Naturally, that trademark confidence was on full display.
“I feel like we’re trying to push me out now. I’m not really sure. I feel like I haven’t even hit my prime yet or I’m just starting to get there. I love saying in a promo that I’m a living legend, but I don’t feel like it. When I think of legend, I think of The Undertaker’s career. The status he’s at. It means retired and drinking pina coladas on the beach somewhere in Tulum.”
Charlotte Flair is heading to WrestleMania 39 for a high-stakes match. The current SmackDown Women’s champion is set to defend her title against the winner of the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble match, Rhea Ripley, which could possibly end up being the main event of Night 1 of the show.
