The WWE is full of talented Superstars who have competed in numerous companies over the years before calling WWE their home. That said, a lot of talent have also parted ways with the company for numerous reasons. Now it seems an ex-WWE Superstar believes he will return to the company eventually.
Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder during his time in WWE, struggled to gain significant screen time and was unable to truly break out as a star there. He was eventually released by WWE in 2020 and went on to achieve greater success outside the organization.
Ringside News also exclusively reported that Matt Cardona is on WWE’s radar for a return. To the surprise of no one, fans have already started speculating if he will end up in WWE again or not. Cardona has made sure fans keep thinking about him.
While speaking with WrestlingInc, Matt Cardona talked about the possibility of making his return to WWE. Cardona stated that he believes he will return to WWE eventually in the future.
“So when I got released from WWE, ever since that day, my goal has not been, oh, what can I do to go back? What do I need to do to impress people to get back there? No, that’s not my goal. But I’d be lying if I said I never wanted to wrestle at Madison Square Garden again, or I never wanted to have a WrestleMania moment again. Of course I do. So will Matt Cardona ever go home? I think eventually, but not as Zack Ryder, because Zack Ryder is dead.”
Matt Cardona has stated that he has unfinished business in the WWE and is looking forward to his comeback in the company. While Cardona’s wife Chelsea Green returned to WWE at the Royal Rumble earlier this year, only time will tell when he would make his comeback to the company.
