Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have earned a reputation as one of the most accomplished tag teams of the past decade in professional wrestling. Their legacy is nothing short of extraordinary. However, after enduring a demanding schedule in 2022, FTR made the decision to take a break from the sport. They also came back to AEW recently and will have a big match soon. That said, it seems Harwood has accused an AEW star of running and complaining to the dirt sheets.

On a December 2022 episode of the FTR With Dax podcast, former AEW World Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood spoke about the situation between AEW and CM Punk following the incidents surrounding the All Out 2022 pay-per-view. Harwood expressed his hope that Punk would return to the company and work with The Elite again after their backstage fight at the event.

However, following the premiere of the episode, rumors began to circulate that some AEW locker room members were unhappy with Harwood’s comments. Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer reported on the alleged discontent among the wrestlers.

On the latest episode of FTR, Harwood addressed the claims and explained that one individual in the locker room was responsible for running to the dirt sheets with the story. Harwood stated that he knew for a fact who the individual was and why they had done it, but he asked fans to make their own assumptions on who it might be.

Dax Harwood emphasized that his “complaining” was coming from a place of passion for professional wrestling and a desire to see FTR be the best they could be. He hoped that fans would appreciate what he had said on the podcast or simply fast-forward through it.

“Whenever we started the podcast and Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez were saying, ‘Oh, everybody is pissed off at Dax, everybody is so mad at Dax.’

Do you know why they said that? Because I know for 100% fact, who told them. And I know why they said that. Because one individual, and I’m sure there were people upset. I’m not saying that.”

I’m saying one individual. And I know this, because the locker room told me, one individual went into the locker room and openly said, ‘I can’t believe he’s talking about that. I can’t believe he’s saying that, I can’t believe he’s doing it.’

That same individual went to the dirt sheets, and I know it for a fact, which of the dirt sheets, and said, ‘I can’t believe he’s saying that, everybody is upset with him’ because they want that narrative out there. Right.

guarantee that the person that I’m talking about is not the person or people you guys think that I’m talking about. But what I’m saying is, is make your own assumption.

Come meet us at a convention or whatever and make your own assumption. Don’t do it through a dirt sheet or whatever perceptions you want to get from a journalist, because I’m telling you right now that my “complaining” is coming from a place of passion because I want FTR to be the best they possibly be.”

But above FTR, I want professional wrestling to be the best it possibly can be. And now I get off my soapbox from that hope. I hope the fans either listen to it and appreciate what I said or just f**king fast-forward through this.”

The exciting news of a career vs title match between the newly returned FTR and The Gunns have definitely piqued the interest of many. Now, many fans are wondering where FTR’s next steps will take them. Regardless, we’ll likely have a banger of a match when it is all said and done.

What’s your take on Dax Harwood’s accusation? Who do you think the AEW star is? Sound off in the comments!
