Naomi is a true veteran in WWE’s women’s division with many accolades under her belt, such as the SmackDown Women’s Championship. However, she had not been in WWE since May 2022 alongside Sasha Banks. She officially made it clear that she is no longer part of WWE and now it seems her new name has been revealed.
While Banks debuted in NJPW as Mercedes Mone and immediately made an impact, Naomi has yet to do anything in the meantime, except for the fact she changed up her look a while ago.
As previously reported, Naomi revealed that she is no longer part of WWE. Naturally, fans were finally relieved that she is actually not part of Vince McMahon’s company anymore.
While her next professional wrestling destination is not known, her new in-ring name might have just been revealed. According to a USPTO filing, Trinity Fatu has filed a trademark application for the name Trinity Starr.
The application was filed on March 20 2023 and applies to the Primary US classes of “022: Games, Toys and Sporting Good” and “039: Clothing” and the Primary International Class of “025 – Primary Class/(Clothing) Clothing, footwear, headgear.)
It doesn’t, according to the filing, apply to the “entertainment purposes” class that is common with wrestler name filings.
At the time of writing, the USPTO update states “The trademark application has been accepted by the Office (has met the minimum filing requirements) and has not yet been assigned to an examiner.”
Naomi’s departure from WWE is a significant loss for the company, as she was a popular and talented performer who had been with the organization since 2010. Regardless, we’ll have to see what the future holds for Naomi.
