CM Punk is a huge figure in the professional wrestling world, and his return to the industry in 2021 after a seven-year hiatus was iconic for many. While his return was initially seen as the best thing ever, that all soured very soon after AEW All Out last year. Punk also got involved in drama thanks to his Instagram story recently and now it seems he is tired of all the drama.
Following the AEW All Out event, CM Punk made controversial comments during a media scrum where he criticized fellow wrestlers Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks. This resulted in a significant backlash and caused damage to his reputation within the company.
Punk has not been seen on AEW television since the incident. He also got surgery for his triceps injury and has been recuperating ever since. That said, Punk never fails to make headlines all the time.
Last night, CM Punk raised hell after he went on a scathing rant in his now-deleted Instagram story. In his story, the Second City Saint targeted Jon Moxley, Dave Meltzer and Chris Jericho.
The former AEW World Champion once again took to his Instagram story and uploaded a screenshot of Roger Murtaugh from Lethal Weapon, where Punk seemingly made it evident that he is just tired of all the drama.
“I’m too old for this s***!”
Chris Jericho also hit back at CM Punk for calling him a liar and a stooge. Regardless, we will have to wait and see whether The Second City Saint will ever make his comeback to AEW.
