CM Punk has been at the center of controversy for the majority of his wrestling career. The Best in the World has risen to prominence, not only for his skill and caliber inside the squared circle, but also for various reasons outside it. However, it has been now reported that the former AEW World champion considered taking legal action after his famous All Out fiasco.

CM Punk’s night at the AEW All Out event in 2022 was a complete disaster. Although he walked out as the AEW World Champion, Punk suffered a major injury and ranted about many people in the media scrum post the event.

This led to a real-life backstage brawl between CM Punk, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks. Both faced consequences in terms of suspensions, however, Omega and The Bucks returned after a short period, while Punk has been absent since then.

There have been many reports circulating regarding CM Punk’s status with the company. However, according to Fightful Select, the former WWE champion considered taking legal action for the fiasco that went down at All Out.

“Sources said that Punk was originally considering the potential of legal action, but haven’t heard anything about that being broached in months. In fact, those that we spoke with felt like there had been “productive progression” in the opposite direction. However, sources within AEW that we spoke to lost confidence that Punk would be returning after the March 23 post.”

CM Punk has remained quiet about his AEW status while many people in the locker room including his close friend Dax Harwood believes that both parties should bury the hatchet and move past it. We will have to wait and see if that happens and if CM Punk returns to AEW after his injury heals up.

Should CM Punk have persuaded legal action? Will he consider it again? Sound off in the comments!
