AEW has a roster full of talented stars, but they can’t all appear on television every week. AEW Women’s World Champion Jamie Hayter wasn’t around this week, but she had a very good reason for that.

Jamie Hayter is not an American, and that has already thrown a snag in her AEW journey. During the pandemic, she was stuck in the UK for months, but she was able to eventually find her way back to Tony Khan’s company and carry on when that situation cleared up a bit.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer broke down why Jamie Hayter wasn’t on AEW Dynamite this week. It seems that she will be back “pretty soon,” but she had to make a trip back to England due to visa issues.

“Jamie Hayter, she wasn’t on the show this week. She’ll be back pretty soon, but what happened is she had to return to England for visa reasons, to get her visa renewed and everything like that, which is something that happens.

“All of the foreign talent in WWE from time to time, they might disappear for a couple of weeks every couple of years for this.

“It’s all worked out and it’s all fine, but I’m not sure which week she’ll be back. But she’s not there right now.”

AEW was able to continue their stories on the Women’s Roster this week, and Jamie Hayter took that time off. We’ll have to see how long it is before Hayter takes another break, but this was an unavoidable trip to take care of some very important documentation.

Only time will tell what’s next for Jamie Hayter. This situation with her visa couldn’t be avoided. Thankfully, everything seems to have worked out, and now AEW fans will just have to wait for her return.
