Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart is one of the most respected and esteemed WWE legends in the history of the company. The Pink and Black Attack reigned atop the WWE mountain back in the mid-1990s as their poster boy and was one of the most technically gifted athletes on the roster. However, former WWE star, The Mountie, disclosed something regarding the Hitman losing his bouts.

Bret Hart was one of the best in-ring stars in wrestling history. The Hitman’s longtime rival Jacques Rougeau, also known as The Mountie, recently discussed the benefits and drawbacks of teaming with the two-time WWE Hall of Famer.

The Mountie and Bret Hart fought in the same ring more than 100 times from 1986 to 1994. On January 17th, 1992, The Mountie defeated Hart live to win the Intercontinental Championship in one of their most memorable battles.

However, the former three-time WWE tag team champion recently revealed a surprising fact about Bret Hart. Mountie stated that the Excellence of Execution refused to lose matches at times during an interview on Story Time with Dutch Mantell.

“Very, very good. In the ring, outside the ring, he was a great, great, great friend of mine. The only thing about Bret, he was hard to do business with. Bret was a guy that was (…) he didn’t like to do jobs [lose]. For one reason or another, we were always taught do what the boss wants and then you’ll get somewhere. He had the philosophy of, ‘Don’t do any jobs and you’ll get somewhere.'”

While the Mountie became a moderate act in the company, Bret Hart rose from being a tag team specialist in the Hart Foundation to become a marquee attraction for WWE at the time. Hart left the company in 1997 following the infamous Montreal Screwjob and retired from in-ring action in 2000.
