Dax Harwood has been one of the respected and highly talented stars in the wrestling business. He gained recognition as an accomplished tag team specialist with his partner Cash Wheeler as a member of FTR. Moreover, Harwood has been focusing on his new podcast series and recently disclosed a lot of information about his close friend in AEW, CM Punk.

According to Fightful Select, Dax Harwood stated that CM Punk and himself are in constant touch almost daily. Moreover, he did not like Punk in the start but hit off really well and become close acquaintances.

Dax Harwood further elaborated on his first episode being about CM Punk. He wanted his truth to come out and also revealed that CM Punk misses wrestling every day and that his love for the sport remains intact.

Moreover, the former AEW tag team champion also suggested that CM Punk, Kenny Omega, and the Young Bucks should move past the AEW All-Out fiasco. Dax Harwood strongly feels that All Elite needs stars like CM Punk for a progressive future.

Dax admitted that he’s got heat for several podcasts that he’s done, but he’s always happy to talk things out directly. He said that he expected some of it with the CM Punk situation, but that he still speaks to CM Punk almost daily. However, they have an understanding that if things get too negative, they’ll scale it back.

He actually expected to not like CM Punk when he first came in, but they hit it off and became close friends. He said that he wanted the first episode to be about Punk because he wanted people to know his truth on the situation.

He says that he and CM Punk will talk the current landscape of wrestling, but will also just send each other Bret Hart clips sometimes. Dax said that Punk has been reading Steve Kiern’s book and said that it’s made him miss wrestling, and that he still loves it.

Dax’s hope is that CM Punk, Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and everyone involved moves past it, and said that the fight is a “shit happens” situation. He wants everyone to move past it and work together, and it’s his belief that AEW needs CM Punk, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks. He said that he did get heat for the CM Punk episode, but he did also get some positive feedback from it.

CM Punk has been absent from AEW television programming since his famous backstage brawl with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks after the 2022 AEW All Out. Punk threw out some negative remarks, dragging them during the media scrum. We can only hope for a reconciliation between both parties at this point so that AEW can have a better and more progressive work environment to build their company further.

Do you think CM Punk will be back in AEW soon? Will any reconciliation happen? Sound off in the comments!
