Adam Cole made his way to AEW during the All Out pay-per-view in 2021. He would go on to have memorable matches with the likes of Adam Page and more. While Cole remains absent from in-ring competition, he had som positive things to say about his return.

Adam Cole has been absent from action since AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 due to two head injuries. However, he made his comeback to AEW Dynamite on January 11 and provided an update on his recovery. On March 29, Cole will make his first appearance since his injury, although his opponent has not yet been revealed.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Cole expressed his love for wrestling and his eagerness to return to the ring. He mentioned that this period of absence was his longest in 15 years in the industry, except for the time he was out due to injury. However, he is now excited to be back and believes his passion, motivation, and enthusiasm are at an all-time high.

“Pro wrestling is something I love more than anything in the entire world. In April, it’ll be 15 years that I’ve been in the pro wrestling industry. The longest amount of time I was ever away, with the exception of this injury, was one month. So over a 15-year period, I was away from the ring and traveling and being on the road only for one month. Now I look at this entire recovery process, and I think about how long I was away and just how badly I couldn’t wait to get back to work again.”

Cole also spoke about his initial doubts regarding his return to wrestling and how his excitement skyrocketed after being cleared to come back. He stated that he has never lost his appreciation for the job and is grateful for the second chance to do what he loves.

He promised fans that they would see the best version of him on March 29, and he is confident that he will be better than ever in the ring.

”There was a real scare there for a minute of whether I was even going to be able to come back in the first place. But when I knew that was possible, my excitement has gone through the roof. I’ve never lost my appreciation for this job, and how much I love doing what I do. But at the same time, in a lot of ways being given the second chance to go back and do what I love more than anything in the world has me incredibly excited. So I mean this wholeheartedly: On March 29th, the fans are gonna get the absolute best version of me that there’s ever been, and I really believe that the passion and the motivation and the excitement to get back into that ring is at an all-time high for me.”

Adam Cole last appeared on the February 22, 2023, episode of Dynamite to promote AEW All-Access as well as his in-ring return. We’ll have to wait to see what Adam Cole has to say to his fans on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
