Roman Reigns is set to take on Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39 in a match that could change the landscape for a long time to come. The Tribal Chief has run roughshod over the WWE roster for over two years now, but all good things must come to an end. After a run like that, Roman Reigns might be in for a long break as well.

Wrestle Votes ran a report that said Roman Reigns is planning a significant break after WrestleMania. The idea is that he could miss television up to SummerSlam.

Wrestle Votes further clarified on Twitter to say that this is contingent on Roman Reigns losing his Undisputed WWE Universal Title. Of course, he can’t take months off as champion.

Adding to this: I’m told this is contingent on if / when Reigns eventually loses the titles. As of now, those plans are not certain.

Neither Cody Rhodes nor Roman Reigns are listed for WWE’s return to Madison Square Garden over the summer. We’ll have to see if things change by the time that big show comes around.

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will throw down in the main event match of WrestleMania 39. Night two has a big match to close down the show, and that will likely have a lot to do with Roman Reigns’ future in WWE as well.

What’s your take on Roman Reigns taking a long break? Does he deserve the time off? Sound off in the comments!
