Chris Jericho is an accomplished veteran in the world of professional wrestling, with a career that has lasted more than three decades. Having worked for numerous promotions, including WWE, ECW, and WCW, Jericho is highly aware of his own importance to the business. Moreover, wrestling veteran Diamond Dallas Page has recently called him the new ‘Ric Flair.’

Ric Flair has etched his name as one of the greatest superstars in the history of professional wrestling. The 16-time World Champion, much like Jericho, has wrestled for every major promotion in the world and has achieved major success everywhere.

WWE Hall of Famer DDP recently noted that Chris Jericho was still incredibly popular despite having been active for decades. He said that Jericho is the “new Ric Flair” because of his ability to maintain an “over” relationship with the crowd.

DDP further stated Chris Jericho has been a top performer for nearly twenty years, except for a few years when he was rising through the ranks. He spoke about that during an interview with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestling.

“Chris Jericho, I gotta give the nod to him because he’s my boy, but at the same time, I watch how over he is. The length of time he’s been there; for me, he’s the new Ric Flair because people have watched him for 25-30 years and when he wasn’t on top, he was on his way to the top and he’s been on the top for over 20 years.”

Chris Jericho is not looking to slow anytime soon with thirty years of experience behind him. He is currently a major fixture for Tony Khan’s AEW and would most likely hang up her boots in the land of All Elite once he decides that the time has come upon his esteemed wrestling career.

Do you think Chris Jericho is the new Ric Flair? Will he retire soon?
