AEW and ROH are pretty much the same company now, because Tony Khan owns both of them, but they do not really share a roster. ROH talent is kept separate from AEW wrestlers for the most part, but a few All Elite stars have spent time in Ring Of Honor. That doesn’t mean they enjoyed their stay.

The Gunns are on top of the AEW tag team division right now, but that wasn’t always the case. Billy Gunn’s sons worked hard to get to that point, which included a short run in ROH for Austin Gunn

While speaking to the Under the Ring podcast, Austin Gunn explained why he didn’t enjoy his time. The AEW Tag Team Champion said that he simply wasn’t ready to be on his own.

“I hated my time in ROH. Not because of my experiences, just because I wasn’t ready to be on my own, and I had to move to Baltimore to go to the developmental system.”

The Gunns have a good thing going in AEW. As brothers, they should come with a certain amount of chemistry attached. Only time will tell how long they keep those titles, but there doesn’t seem to be any signs that the team will split up any time soon.

What’s your take on the ROH and AEW roster splitting? Should Tony Khan combine them to draw more viewes to ROH? Sound off in the comments!
