“Stone Cold” Steve Austin made his big return to the ring at WrestleMania 39. He took on Kevin Owens in a showdown that many fans didn’t think would happen. That is not the case this year, as the Texas Rattlesnake has not agreed to a match.

We previously reported that Steve Austin rejected a match against Brock Lesnar this year at WrestleMania. That would have seen the two have a huge match on the grandest stage of them all, but it wasn’t meant to be.

While speaking to Justin of The Wrestling Classic, Steve Austin was asked about a potential appearance at WrestleMania 39. He had to admit that he hasn’t heard anything about that happening yet, and we’re two weeks from the showcase of the immortals.

“I haven’t heard anything. We’re literally, as we speak right now, about two weeks away, and it’s the biggest show of the year. Right now, I think, WWE has got as good a roster as they’ve had since the Attitude Era. They got a deep roster, so I think many guys and gals need those coveted spots. They got plenty of names to draw from, plenty of talent to draw from. I think they should shine the light and the cameras on their current superstars.”

We will have to wait and see if Steve Austin’s glass breaking music strikes during the WrestleMania 39 event. It doesn’t sound like he will be making the trip to SoFi Stadium just yet, but WWE is known to surprise fans at Mania.
