Edge and Randy Orton are two of the greatest Superstars in the history of WWE. While Edge is already a WWE Hall of Famer, Orton is a surefire Hall of Famer in the future. That being said, it seems they were accused of almost bullying a WWE diva into quitting the company.

Former WWE superstar Joy Giovanni recently spoke out about a disturbing incident that occurred during a flight to Japan, where she and her co-worker and friend Amy Weber were allegedly bullied by Edge. This led to Giovanni contemplating leaving the company altogether.

Giovanni and Weber first entered the wrestling world in 2004 after competing in the Diva Search competition and signing with WWE. However, Weber left the company a year later, citing bullying from Randy Orton and Edge during a flight.

In a recent interview with Ring The Belle, Giovanni spoke candidly about the incident, admitting that she felt guilty for not leaving in solidarity with Weber. She described the flight to Japan as a horror story, with warnings from other wrestlers about potential dangers while sleeping on the plane.

“I don’t think I had said it to her before, but I felt really bad always for not leaving in solidarity with her. I was sitting with her at the time. I’m a 100% positive that someone poured a drink all over her when we were sleeping.”

Giovanni alleged that during the flight, someone poured a drink all over Weber while she was sleeping, causing her to wake up in distress. The former wrestler stated that she felt terrible for staying with the company while Weber left, but she had a family to support and was the primary breadwinner for several family members.

The incident has stayed with Giovanni over the years, and she believes that bullying and mistreatment in wrestling are prevalent. Despite the negative experience, Giovanni also shared some positive memories of her time in WWE, highlighting the camaraderie among the female wrestlers and the empowering moments of performing in front of thousands of fans.

We almost didn’t sleep that entire flight to Japan because we had been warned about the horror story of, ‘hey, sometimes if you fall asleep people will come cut your hair. They’ll do all kinds of things to you.’ So, we were terrified. And I actually felt bad for staying when she left because I knew the treatment was wrong, but quite frankly, I had a family to support. I was a primary supporter of my family and some additional family members at that point. But it is something that stays with me.

Both Randy Orton and Edge are unlikely to respond to these accusations meted out against them. Regardless, it is disturbing to know they could have done such a thing to a former WWE Diva.

What’s your take on this accusation? Do you think Edge and Randy Orton bullied her? Sound off in the comments!
