Cody Rhodes Tells All About His Conversation With John Cena On WWE RAW

Cody Rhodes is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in WWE right now. His stock only increased after WrestleMania 38. Rhodes is clearly a massive star now in WWE, which is evident by how fans react to him every week on WWE television. He also shared a moment with John Cena on an episode of RAW earlier this month. Now it seems he has given an insight into the conversation he had with Cena.

John Cena made a highly-anticipated comeback and was visibly emotional upon hearing the cheers from the live audience on an episode of RAW. He decimated Austin Theory on the mic and set up his WrestleMania 39 match with Theory.

That wasn’t all. Cena went on to surprise the crowd by inviting Cody Rhodes to the ring, which was met with a deafening roar of applause from the fans. The two embraced on the entrance stage as the crowd cheered on in excitement.

Right after that, The Leader Of Cenation whispered something into Cody Rhodes’ ears when they hugged it out. Rhodes then tweeted out what Cena had said to him during the interaction.

While speaking in an interview with ‘Stadium Astro’, Cody Rhodes revealed that what he tweeted was what Cena said to him during a car ride in the early 2000s. What Rhodes said to Cena was if he were to do another match, he would like it to be with him and Cena answered he cannot promise that. 

So, actually, that was something he told me in the car when I was driving him around in 2008? 2009? (Rhodes referring to his ‘reward their noise’ tweet)… What he said to me on Raw was I was telling him if he ever does another match, I would like it to be with (me) and I think you could hear him pretty well, he says, ‘I can’t promise that.’ But I also didn’t want to make it about myself in that moment so I just endlessly thanked him and then he was at the Nightmare Factory a week later talking to our students.

Cody Rhodes will be stepping into the biggest match of his career when he takes on Roman Reigns in a colossal main event. This much-anticipated showdown will see Rhodes challenging Reigns for his coveted Undisputed WWE Universal Title, in what is sure to be an epic battle.
