WWE is an ever-changing landscape where Superstars can get new gimmicks at the drop of a hat. In fact, this has led to some unfavorable results, due to which fans have always clamored for WWE to bring back a Superstar’s previous gimmick. It seems one particular Smackdown Superstar has now teased bringing back an old gimmick.
Pete Dunne was one of the best stars in NXT UK, where he held the NXT UK Championship for 685 days. He made his way to NXT, where he took part in several memorable feuds and matches.
The Bruiserweight made his way to Friday Night Smackdown back in March last year. To the shock of fans, his name was changed to Butch. Unsurprisingly, fans dragged WWE for the decision.
While fans have more or less embraced Dunne as Butch thanks to his work as part of the Brawling Brutes, many still want to see him back as The Bruiserweight. With Triple H in charge of WWE Creative, fans wondered if that was ever going to happen.
Pete Dunne took to Twitter and uploaded an old photo of himself as his previous gimmick while holding the NXT UK Championship. His caption more or less teased that he plans on bringing back his old gimmick.
