The Usos are undoubtedly one of the most accomplished tag teams in the history of WWE. They continue to break records and ensure they are future WWE Hall of Famers. However, things weren’t always so good for them. In fact, WWE even had extra punishment planned for them if they defied Vince McMahon.

The Usos have proven their dominance in WWE as one of the most accomplished tag teams in recent years. Their ability to win both RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Championships under both the old and new regimes is a testament to their skill and talent.

However, a recent revelation from former WWE writer Dave Schilling suggests that the company may have once wanted to punish the duo for defying Vince McMahon. Schilling took to Twitter and claimed that after The Usos forfeited during a tag team gauntlet match on SmackDown, the company allegedly wanted to book them in a ladder match at WrestleMania 35 as a form of punishment.

The ladder match was supposed to be extra punishment for the Usos from Mr. McMahon.

Instead, the Usos were punished by Alexa Bliss for some reason.

It’s interesting to note that despite the alleged desire to punish The Usos with a ladder match at WrestleMania 35, the match never took place. Instead, they were booked in a Fatal-4-Way at the event, where they successfully defended their titles. It is to be noted that Alexa Bliss was the host of that year’s WrestleMania.

It’s unclear why The Usos decided to forfeit during the match, but McMahon’s reaction suggests that it was a deliberate act of defiance. It’s also possible that the decision was made for storyline purposes, as The Usos have always been known for their rebellious attitude and willingness to go against authority.

Regardless of the reason behind their decision to forfeit, The Usos have continued to prove themselves as one of the most dominant tag teams in WWE history. We’ll have to see what WWE has planned for them at WrestleMania 39.

What’s your take on this claim? Are you surprised the storyline never happened? Sound off in the comments!
