The AEW Trios Championship match was nothing short of chaotic. As the match came to a close, the brawls that erupted inside the ring were enough to make your head spin. Amidst all the madness, it was Daniel Garcia who took the finishing move Dante’s Inferno from Brody King. However, it didn’t take long for fans to point out a small problem.
At first glance, it didn’t seem like Daniel Garcia was the legal man in the match. Fans quickly took to social media to point out the mistake. However, upon closer inspection, it was revealed that Garcia was indeed the legal man. But, there were other mistakes along the way that made it look like he wasn’t.
To begin with, Chris Jericho tagged himself in with Sammy Guevara, who wasn’t legal. As a result, the tag shouldn’t have counted. Then, to make matters worse, Jericho went for a pin and the referee counted it. This shouldn’t have happened because Garcia should have still been legal at this point, not Jericho. However, this meant that the referee thought Jericho was legal, which added to the confusion.
As Chris Jericho left the ring, Daniel Garcia re-entered without a tag, and it was then that he was pinned. In the end, the right person was pinned, but amidst all the chaos, Jericho had tagged himself in on the wrong partner. Additionally, the referee counted a Jericho pin attempt that shouldn’t have been counted and then counted Garcia being pinned straight after despite there being no tag between him and Jericho.
Despite the confusion, the AEW Trios Championship match was an intense and exciting spectacle for fans of the wrestling world. While mistakes were made, the athleticism and skill on display by the wrestlers were undoubtedly impressive
