Hangman Adam Page was one of the first talents to sign on to AEW in 2019. Since then, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the Jacksonville based promotion. However there is a major personality in the pro wrestling universe who has been quite critical of a recent promo segment by Hangman Adam Page.
A segment on AEW Dynamite saw Renee Paquette interviewing “Hangman” Adam Page, who was coming off his victory in the Texas Death Match against Jon Moxley at Revolution. Page discussed his recent successes and shed some light on his plans for the future.
This segment did not go down well with Jim Cornette, who heavily criticized it on the recent edition of his Jim Cornette Experience podcast. He went on to rip on the creative plans behind that segment, questioning who they thought it appeals to.
Jim Cornette even insinuated that Page had the chance to fight CM Punk over Jon Moxley, but he turned it down. During the All-Out media scrum, CM Punk fired shots at Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks, resulting in a ton of backlash and suspension from the company.
“Who do they think this appeals to? When he’s ‘I don’t want to go to this dark place, but I’ll rip off your flesh’ (…) and he’s standing there, a mushed mouth p*ssy is what he is. We’ve established he’s not a f*cking cowboy (…) And if he gets his feelings hurt, he had the chance to fight Punk, he wouldn’t f*cking do it. Because the fight with Moxley is fake, where they’re not really hitting each other over the head with those bricks (…) He could have f*cking told Punk, ‘Hey, don’t talk to me like that. If you’re mad at something I did, let’s f*cking go out here.’ He chose to decline from that one.”
While CM Punk has been out of action since All Out due to an injury, he recently hinted towards making a ROH return. You can check out the podcast below. For more updates, stay tuned to Ringside News.
