Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder in WWE, has established himself as a top-tier performer ever since getting released from his WWE in the 2020 Covid-cuts that ended his 15-year stint with the company. Recently, the former NWA Champion expressed his desire to face the Almighty Bobby Lashley amidst the rumored Bobby Lashley vs. Bray Wyatt match at WrestleMania 39.

Given the prior history between the two men’s last altercation, it makes sense for WWE to give Matt Cardona a shot in case Bray Wyatt is not cleared to compete at the “Shows of Immortals”. Apparently, Matt Cardona “Zack Ryder” wrestled his last match WWE against Bobby Lashley in 2020 and wants his return match to be the same as well.

On the flip side, Bobby Lashley has made it clear that he deserves a major spot at WrestleMania 39. The Almighty took to Twitter to make that clear and proclaimed that someone will feel his wrath.

“I’ve worked too hard to be denied. I will be ready to fight on the biggest stage of them all, #WrestleMania. I don’t care who it is, somebody will feel the wrath of the All-Mighty.”

This led to the former WWE superstar Matt Cardona taking to Twitter to remind Lashley of their history and volunteering himself to be his challenger at WrestleMania.

Although, Bobby Lashley might not need a new opponent as it has been claimed that his scheduled match with Wyatt is still anticipated to take place, regardless of whether Cardona really returns to WWE or not. Wyatt and Lashley have recently engaged in a number of encounters, but those have recently cooled off as a result of Wyatt’s “physical issue,” which prevents him from being featured on television.
