Big E suffered a nasty injury that nearly paralyzed him on the road to WWE WrestleMania last year. The former WWE Champion failed to make a full rotation off of a belly-to-belly delivered to him by Ridge Holland on the March 11, 2022, episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Ridge Holland revealed on Monday that he received death threats on Big E’s injury anniversary. The one-third of Brawling Brutes said some people even lobbied for him to lose his job in the wake of the terrible incident that occurred a year ago. The tweet came across Xavier Woods who took to Twitter to urge fans that neither Holland nor his family deserve the hate for the Big E incident.
Pro Wrestling is extremely dangerous. All of us involved understand that. Ridge & his family do not deserve to be treated this way. Please do not send any hate towards them. Instead use your energy to do something positive like sending love to E. Be kind. Please be kind.
Ridge Holland apologized to Big E, and even sent him a load of red meat after the accident. Big E fractured his C1 vertebra and C6 vertebra after he landed on his neck, but he did not require surgery.
The New Day member recently said he’s in no rush to make any decisions until he’s talked to his doctors and seen the scans. Big E is encouraging people going through similar obstacles to stick to hope. The former WWE Champion has an extremely positive attitude one year after the terrible incident. Here’s hoping that Big E will continue to inspire his fans with message of hope.
