Big E was on a roll as a former WWE Champion, but then he suffered a career-threatening injury. He seems to be getting back on the road to the ring, but it’s a slow process after a broken neck. That being said, Ridge Holland is having a much different situation.

March 11th, 2023 marked the one-year anniversary of Big E’s injury. Ridge Holland was the other man involved in that spot, as Big E failed to make a full rotation off a German Suplex on the outside. Ridge Holland apologized to Big E, and even sent him a load of red meat after the accident.

It turns out that fans aren’t taking this anniversary so well. In fact, Ridge Holland logged onto Twitter to inform fans that he actually received death threats as fans remembered that terrible day in Big E’s career.

Death threats. Threats to my family. Lobbying for me to lose my job. Being labeled as racist. Great stuff keep ‘em coming

It’s never okay to threaten someone’s life over anything, especially pro wrestling. Obviously, Ridge Holland is taking this news better than most would.

Big E landed on his neck and fractured his C1 vertebra and C6 vertebra, but he did not require surgery. Hopefully, he will be able to make a WWE return sooner than later, but he will wait until his one-year evaluation to see what the doctors say.
