Enzo Amore worked hard to make himself a mainstay during his time in WWE, where he teamed up with Big Cass. The two became one of the most popular tag teams in the last seven years, but both were released by the company in the end, months apart from each other for different reasons. Now it seems Enzo Amore seemingly claimed that he is a better promo than The Rock.
It has been over five years since Enzo Amore was fired by WWE due to allegations of sexual assault. After his release, Amore has occasionally competed in the independent circuit. In fact, he has been making big money in the independent scene.
Four months after his WWE release, the investigation was dropped due to a lack of evidence. No charges were ever filed against The Realest Guy In The Room. Enzo Amore would then hone his craft in various promotions since his release, especially in MLW.
On the other hand, The Rock is regarded as one of the greatest WWE Superstars in the history of the company. His mic skills are second to none and he was the master of brutally roasting his adversaries on the microphone.
While speaking on Under the Ring, Enzo Amore stated that he would have loved to face off against The Rock on the microphone in a promo battle.
The Rock. Because I think he was so over — and he still is — and that’s what it really boils down to. If you’re the most over, then you’re going to elicit the greatest reactions in the ring. So why would I want to work against anybody else but the biggest star this business has ever seen?
The former WWE Superstar brought up the fact that The Great One worked with Brian Gewirtz for his promos, while Amore didn’t need any writer. Therefore, Amore seemingly claimed that he is a better promo than The Rock.
Let it be known he took a writer with him from the WWE straight to Hollywood, all right? Well I’ll be damned if I ever say anything anybody else writes beside me. You know how hard I had to fight to say the words coming out of my mouth?
This is certainly a very big claim made by Enzo Amore. Regardless, it is highly doubtful anyone will pay heed to what he had to say in the end.
