Rhea Ripley has been on a collision course with Charlotte Flair after winning the Royal Rumble match this year. This rivalry has excited fans because it has been three years in the making. For the past several weeks, both women have taken shots at each other on their respective brands and even came face-to-face a couple of times.
This week on the blue brand, Charlotte Flair faced off against Shotzi. Midway through the match, Rhea Ripley came down to the ring to taunt her WrestleMania opponent. Despite this, Flair won her match by forcing Shotzi to tap out while looking Rhea Ripley in her eyes.
Following the match, the two women engaged in the most awkward promo segment as both women looked out of their element while taking shots at each other.
Fightful Select is now reporting that the promo between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley deviated from the original plan. The report did not note exactly what the original plan was.
We’re told the Charlotte-Rhea Ripley promo “deviated a little bit off the original plan,” but weren’t told how.
