Jeff Hardy has had a long and successful career in pro wrestling, but he has also struggled with personal demons that have caused him a lot of pain. His struggles with substance abuse have been well-documented, and he has had multiple stints in rehab throughout his career. Despite these challenges, Jeff Hardy has remained a fan favorite and continues to be an inspiration to many who struggle with similar issues. In fact, it seems Matt Hardy believes we have not seen the last of Jeff Hardy in AEW.
After his performance at a Dave & Busters venue in Florida, Jeff Hardy faced criticism following his apprehension for driving while intoxicated. Regrettably, this was not a one-time occurrence, as it marked his third DUI arrest in the course of a decade.
Following his arrest in June, Jeff was suspended from AEW without pay until he finished substance abuse treatment. As previously reported, Jeff Hardy’s DUI case is now officially closed. Due to this, his driver’s license is now suspended for a decade.
While speaking on the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy talked about his brother Jeff Hardy’s return to AEW. Hardy made it clear that fans have not seen the last of The Charismatic Enigma in Tony Khan’s company.
“My gut thinks he wants to redeem himself. We haven’t talked about stuff, and he’s still … taking care of some physical issues that he’s been dealing with right now. … I don’t think we’ve seen Jeff appear on AEW television for the last time
Jeff Hardy’s in-ring return has not been discussed yet. Hardy is still a member of the AEW roster. However, he will only be able to return from suspension “upon successfully completing treatment and maintaining his sobriety.” We’ll have to see when he will be able to return.
