John Cena returned to WWE programming on the road to WrestleMania, and he took on a match against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39. That United States Title match could be a huge one on the card, but it likely won’t be the only time we see Cena on the road to the show of shows.
Due to John Cena’s busy Hollywood career, he can’t make WWE appearances like he used to. That being said, the road to WrestleMania is always a special occasion. Thankfully, Cena was able to block off a few weeks.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, John Cena wrapped up his movie with Zac Efron in Australia on March 4th. He doesn’t have any other commitment in the meantime, what would stop him from making a few more television shows on the road to WrestleMania.
Cena actually wrapped up his filming of the movie Ricky Stanicky on 3/4, so he will be available for television over the next several weeks
John Cena hasn’t been confirmed for any future appearances, like he was for Boston. That being said, you never know when he might show up to continue his rivalry with Austin Theory as April 1st and 2nd approaches.
John Cena vs Austin Theory is a match that the latter has been after for years. Only time will tell how the even shapes up, but John Cena always brings a special amount of attention to every one of his contests nowadays. So, this could be another benchmark match for Austin Theory’s career.
