Bayley has been a pioneer of Women’s wrestling since her arrival in WWE and leading the charge as the leader of Damage CTRL today. Throughout her time in NXT and her early tenure on the main roster, Bayley was one of the truest babyfaces in professional wrestling. Moreover, the former hugger recently admitted that she loves comparisons with the Franchise Player, John Cena.

John Cena has been the face of WWE for well over fifteen years. The Cenation Leader held down the place on his own and has been regarded as one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time.

Nowadays, The Face That Runs Place finds himself under the bright lights of Hollywood reigning as a top A-list actor. Moreover, John Cena has been a part of a lot of successful movies and TV shows.

Bayley was once compared a lot to the 16-time World champion during her days as the lovable Hugger. The leader of Damage CTRL elaborated on the subject during her recent appearance with  Dr. Beau Hightower in a workout session.

“I used to get that a lot. Not recent because I’ve turned bad. When I was a good guy, I think it meant a lot when I would get it and hearing it from my peers. They were like, ‘you’re one of the most white meat babyfaces and people were genuinely behind (me). They could see no evil in me.

That was really cool and I just thought about all the merch money I could make. It’s funny but there is a difference now when you’re a good guy and a bad guy. I think I needed to make the change for myself. Nobody is John Cena. I wouldn’t be able to do what he did for that long.”

Bayley and Damage CTRL are scheduled to take part in a six-person tag team match against Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 39. On the other side, John Cena returns to the Grandest Stage of them all to battle Austin Theory for the WWE United States champion.
