In the last year, Vince McMahon has been the focus of extensive media coverage due to his alleged involvement in a high-profile pay-for-silence scandal that garnered significant attention within the professional wrestling industry. Following a period of relative quiet, McMahon re-emerged earlier this year as the Executive Chairman of WWE. He was also spotted backstage on RAW this week. Now it seems there is the belief that McMahon showed everyone he is the boss with his recent backstage appearance.

The return of Vince McMahon to WWE RAW this week mad a lot of fans interested, particularly given the special nature of the night, which included John Cena’s return after a few months That being said, it was noted that McMahon simply wanted to be present for the occasion and enjoy the show.

As previously reported, Vince McMahon’s recent appearance at WWE RAW was primarily to visit John Cena backstage, and he was not involved in any creative decisions at all.

However, McMahon was present in the Gorilla Position throughout the night, which led to speculation among some fans that he might just take control of the company again. His mere presence in Boston was enough to create a buzz and prompt heightened security measures.

While speaking on an ‘Ask Naitch Anything’ edition of his ‘To be the Man’ podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair talked about Vince McMahon’s return backstage in the company. Flair stated that he believes McMahon showed everyone he is the boss with his recent backstage appearance.

“He’s the boss and he just let everybody know it. I’m sure he loves visiting with John (Cena). They are very close as they have both relayed to me on different conversations.

I think Vince and John are beyond friends. They are just really close. I think where guys will drift off, John always stays right there. I wouldn’t be surprised if they talk a couple times a week. I just think he let everybody know that he’s still the boss.”

WWE talent were also unfazed by Vince McMahon’s backstage visit on Monday Night RAW. In fact, McMahon was never slated to appear on RAW. It is unclear whether Vince McMahon will be present at WrestleMania 39, and his involvement in the event has not been confirmed.

While his influence on creative decisions is currently unknown, it remains to be seen whether his presence will be felt in any significant way.
