There is a solid reason why Ricky Starks is currently one of the brightest stars of AEW television. Starks has put a lot of effort into developing a reputation as a reliable talent, and his supporters never stop. With a strong performance at AEW Revolution, Starks now appears to be unstoppable and will be present on this week’s Dynamite to address his huge victory.
Ricky Starks has been on a roll since his fantastic feud with MJF in December of last year, in which he completely destroyed MJF and eventually killed him in a promo battle. At AEW Winter Is Coming, although he would lose to MJF, his supporters continued to remain firmly behind him.
Ricky Starks and Chris Jericho engaged in a competitive match during the 2023 edition of AEW Revolution. When it was all said and done, the former FTW Champion was the one who stood tall and victorious.
While speaking with Damien Barling on ESPN, Ricky Starks broke into laughter as he said how he looks like the host. They had a good time as Starkman said that he was tired of logging into Twitter and seeing their faces next to each other. Starks obviously enjoyed the experience, as he retweeted a tweet from Barling that said, “So… I guess we do kinda look alike.”
A win over an established wrestling veteran like Chris Jericho certainly puts Ricky Starks at the prime of AEW and indicates a monster push for him. Moreover, AEW announced on Twitter that Starks will address the audience on the March 8, episode of AEW Dynamite.
“Coming off his huge victory at #AEWRevolution, we’ll hear from Absolute Ricky Starks ( @starkmanjones ) TONIGHT on #AEWDynamite LIVE at 8pm ET / 7pm CT on @TBSNetwork.”
We’ll have to see what kind of “Wednesday Night Interlude,” he has in store for fans. This was something he tweeted out to hype his appearance, and it could be a sign of how he will go about things.
Now that Ricky Starks’ rivalry with Chris Jericho is officially over, we’ll just have to wait and see what the future has for him. Moreover, fans might witness him square off against MJF sooner rather than later in another attempt to win the AEW world championship.
