Powerhouse Hobbs took on Wardlow for the TNT Champion in the main event of AEW Dynamite tonight. Wardlow had requested the AEW management to make the match Falls Count Anywhere earlier during the show.
The two battled backstage before taking the fight to the ramp. Wardlow had Hobbs locked in for a powerbomb symphony until QT Marshall showed up to cause a distraction.
Marshall hit Mr. Mayhem with a steel chair, but that did little damage. He then delivered a low blow to the champion and took him out with two chair shots to the face. Marshall told Hobbs to finish off the champion. The two laid out Wardlow with a double powerbomb on the wooden platform.
The referee counted to ten and Powerhouse Hobbs was declared the new TNT Champion. Marshall was seen wearing a QTV shirt, confirming he’s the person behind the QTV teases on AEW television.
