AEW Dynamite Results Coverage, Reactions & Highlights For March 8, 2023

It’s Wednesday night, and you know what that means! AEW Dynamite will go down tonight, and Ringside News has got you covered with live play-by-play results coverage.

Tonight promises an exciting night of action as we deal with the fallout from AEW Revolution. We will also get to witness two title matches as Wardlow and Orange Cassidy defend their respective titles. The complete match card for the show is as follows:

AEW Dynamite Opener:

The opening package for the show airs.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Jay Lethal

Orange Cassidy’s music plays and he walks to the ring. Jay Lethal’s music plays next and he makes his way to the ring.

The match begins and Cassidy takes Lethal down. Lethal rolls out of the ring. He gets back in the ring and goes for Lethal injection but Cassidy kicks his arm. Lethal rolls out fo the ring. Cassidy goes for the suicide dive but is caught. Cassidy escapes and sends Lethal into the post.

Lethal sends Cassidy into the steel steps. He then hits the dragon screw on Cassidy. Cassidy is hung up on the rope and Lethal attacks his leg sending him crashing to the floor. Lethal goes after Cassidy and drives him into the apron.

Lethal with a knee breaker into the ring post. Cassidy rolls into the ring. Lethal goes to work on Cassidy’s leg. Cassidy fights back and hits the brainbuster. Cassidy climbs the top rope but is stopped. Lethal also joins him on the top rope but is knocked down and Cassidy with a diving DDT. He hits another DDT. Cover! 1..2…kick out.

He goes for an Orange punch but his leg buckles and Lethal locks in the figure four leg lock. Cassidy gets to the bottom rope. Both men exchange strikes on the apron. Lethal kicks the legs of Cassidy. He then hits the Lethal combination.

Lethal climbs the top rope and goes for an elbow drop but Cassidy gets his knees up. Lethal reverse the Orange Punch into the cutter. He goes for the Lethal Injection but his shoulder gives out and Cassidy hits the Orange Punch for the win.

Winner: Orange Cassidy (c)

Lethal wants to attack Cassidy with the Golden Globe award but the referee stops him. Jeff Jarrett attacks Cassidy with the stroke. He then smashes the guitar on Cassidy’s knee. He escapes the ring as Best Friends comes down to the ring.

Renee interviews Powerhouse Hobbs who says what happened to Wardlow is so unfortunate. He says he is going to beat Wardlow tonight.

Ricky Starks’s music plays and he comes down to the ring. He gets on the mic and says he is having a hell of a week. He continues that he has taken down JAS and Jericho week after week. He says he is not sure what’s next but he is concerned about where he is going to go next.

Bullet Club’s music hit and Juice Robinson attacks him from behind.

*Commercial break*

Wardlow is interviewed and he asks to change the stipulation to Falls Count Anywhere. He says he may not physically have the title but he is the TNT Champion.

Renee is in the ring and she introduces Ruby Soho. Ruby’s music plays and she comes down to the ring with Saraya and Toni Storm. Renee asks about why she joined Saraya and Toni Storm.

Ruby says they all created this monster. She says her first title match was against Brit Baker and the fans were thrilled when she beat her. She then says that when she faced Statlander and she was booed when she beat her.

She then says that when Jamie Hayter pinned her that no on was going to be made when she lost and no one was ever going to appreciate her. She says Toni wasn’t appreciated enough as well. She says that the fans booed Saraya after they begged her to come out of retirement.

She says they came here to rebuild the women’s division. She then insults the locker room. Ruby then asks for Skye Blue to come out.

Ruby Soho vs, Skye Blue

Skye’s music =plays and she comes out. They both brawl in the ring. Soho sends her out of the ring. Soho sends her into the ring. Soho with an enzuigiri to Blue. Ruby plants her. Cover! 1..2…kick out.

She attacks Blue in the corner. Skye fights back but it isn’t enough as Soho goes to work on her. Ruby with a back elbow. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Soho with a kick to Blue. Soho with a back suplex. She does it again.

Soho goes for a kick but Blue evades. Blue fights back and kicks her head. She climbs the top rope and hits a crossbody. Cover! 1..2..kick out. Ruby hits the destination unknown for the win.

Winner: Ruby Soho

Saraya and Toni Storm come out. Soho spray paints Blue. Willow Nightingale comes out to confront Soho. Sarya and Toni Storm attack her from behind and Soho hits the no-future kick. They spray paint her.

Renee interviews Adam Page who says he’s been better physically. He sends a warning to anyone who wants to try him. He says he apologizes to Renee for what he did on Sunday.

Tony Schiavone introduces FTR. FTR’s music plays and they come down to the ring.

Tony asks them about Revolution. Cash says he missed the crowd. He said he wants to talk about how bad the last few months have been and he mentions their losses. He says they needed to recharge but he couldn’t sit at home and watch The Gunns call themselves the best tag team in the world.

He says their father gave them everything while his father couldn’t do the same but he thought him how to fight. Dax says he wants to talk about the fans. He says he loves this industry so much. He says the last memory he has with his best friend was taken away by The Gunns. He says it is time for retribution. He says they have to beat them for the AEW Tag Team Titles.

Renee interviews Jade Cargill who says she is undefeated and says she wants the best opponent Canada has to offer.

AR Fox & Top Flight vs. Jericho Appreciation Society

Chris Jericho’s music plays and he comes out with the Jericho Appreciation Society. Top Flight’s music plays and they come out with AR Fox.

The match begins with Fox and Jericho. Fox with an enzuigiri. He attacks him in the corner. Jericho rolls out and Fox dives onto him. Jericho tags in Sammy Guevara. Guevara with a body slam on Fox. He tags out and they double-team Fox.

Jericho tags out and Sammy gets attacked by Fox before tagging out. Garcia sent out of the ring and Dante hits a moonsault. Angelo parker distracts him allowing Garcia to gain the advantage.

JAS with quick tags. Jericho attacks Dante and hits the dropkick. Jericho tags out and Sammy continues to attack him. He tags out and Jericho sets him up on the top rope. Jericho knocked down and Dante with a crossbody. Cover! 1…2…kick out.

Jericho tags out and Garcia attacks Dante. He tags out and Sammy Guevara attacks Dante. Dante fights back and makes the tag. Fox comes in and attacks Garcia.He hits the cutter.

Jericho sent outside and Fox attacks him. Fox with another cutter. He tags out. Darrius with a German suplex. Garcia tags out but Darrius hits the Spanish fly on Jericho. He hits the backflip kick. Cover! 1..2…kick out.

Dante with a suicide dive on Garcia. Fox hits the implosion senton on Guevara. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho but he is rolled up. Darrius hits the rope and Jake Hager hits him with the bat and Jericho hits the Judas elbow for the win.

Winner: Jericho Appreciation Society

Angelo Parker says this was the greatest trios victory in history. Matt says that tonight is the one year anniversary of JAS. Garcia says that after such a beautiful victory they are the number one contenders for the trios titles. Sammy says they are the sexiest group alive. Jake Hager says he likes his hat. Jericho says they are considering themselves the new number one contenders for the trios titles and he calls out the House of Black.

The lights go out but The Elite’s music plays. Kenny says for the better part of three years they have stayed out of each other’s way. He is cut off by Don Callis who says it was The Elite who established the trios titles. He says they are the number one contenders. Callis says he is the second-best wrestler from Winnipeg.

Jericho asks them to come down to the ring. They approach the ring but the lights go out and The House of Black appears and accepts the challenge. The lights go out again and they disappear.

Tony is backstage and he says the AEW All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy wants Jeff Jarrett for the title. He says they are going to change the title to the AEW International Championship.

John Silver & Alex Reynolds vs. Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli

Jon Moxley’s theme song plays and he comes down to the ring with Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta. Dark Order’s music hit and they come out to the ring.

Moxley and Claudio attack Dark Order. Claudio tags out and Moxley attacks Jon Silver. He tags out and Claudio with a clothesline to John Silver. Claudio tags out and Moxley attacks Silver. He then tags out and Claudio hits a body slam and a leg drop.

Claudio attacks Silver in the corner. Silver fights back and tags out. Reynolds attacks Moxley and Claudio. He hits a suicide dive on Moxley. He climbs the top rope but is shoved off by Claudio. He tags in Moxley who sends Reynold over the timekeeper’s area.

Moxley sends him back into the ring and attacks him in the corner. He then hits the superplex. Moxley tags out and Claudio continues to attack Reynolds. Claudio attacks Reynolds in the corner.

Claudio sent outside and Reynolds tries to tag out but Claudio blocks him. Reynolds fights back and tags out. Silver attacks Moxley in the corner. Silver with a knee strike and a German suplex. Cover! 1..2..kick out.

Moxley kicks Silver in his chest but he fights back. Moxley goes for a triangle but John Silver escapes and locks in a submission. Claudio breaks it up. Dark Order double teams Claudio. Reynolds goes for the stunner but Moxley hits the half and half. He then locks in a choke as Reynolds taps out.

Winner: Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli

Jon Moxley continues to lock in the hold. Silver comes in to make the save but he is thrown out of the ring. Moxley locks in the bulldog choke. Evil Uno comes down and attacks Moxley. Wheeler Yuta attacks him from behind. Hangman Adam page comes out to check on Reynolds. They attack him and both teams brawl.

The Acclaimed are backstage and they say they are back on the road to the AEW Tag Team Titles. They are interrupted by Matt Menard and Angelo Parker and they says JAS loves The Acclaimed. They offer them a partnership but get laughed at.

Falls Count Anywhere Match For The AEW TNT Championship: Wardlow (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

Wardlow’s music plays but he isn’t coming out. Wardlow and Hobbs have already started brawling in the parking lot. Wardlow sent into the car door. Hobbs suplexes Wardlow on the hood of the car.

Wardlow with a back drop on Hobbs. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Wardlow sends Hobbs into a pile of boxes. Wardlow sent face first into a case. Both men battle inside the trailer. He sends Hobbs through the wall.

Wardlow hits him with a trash can. Hobbs attacks Wardlow with a steel chair. Wardlow returns the favor. He drags Hobbs back out to the arena. He sends Hobbs to the ringside area. He sends Hobbs into the ring.

Wardlow slams Hobbs to the mat but he gets up and hits the spine buster and Wardlow gets up. They both exchange strikes. Wardlow hits a clothesline and the F-10. Cover! 1…2….kick out. Wardlow with a spine buster. He does it again. Cover! 1…2..kick out.

Hobbs sent Wardlow into the barricade. Wardlow spits water in Hobbs’ face. He places him on the table and hits the senton. Cover! 1…2…kick out. Wardlow hits the powerbomb on the entrance ramp. He takes Hobbs to the entrance way but he is attacked by QT Marshall who hits him with a steel chair and low blows him before hitting him again.

They both throw him off the stage and the referee begins the count and Wardlow isn’t able to get up in time.
