Chyna was a force to be reckoned with during her time in WWE in the late ’90s. In fact, Chyna believed she was worth $1 million, but Vince McMahon decided to let Chyna go after she demanded that much money. In addition to that, it seems WWE did not renew Chyna’s contract due to her attitude issues.
As fans are well aware by now, Chyna left WWE after a financial disagreement. Right before she parted ways with WWE, Chyna had told Jim Ross she wanted a $1 million per year deal. However, McMahon rejected her demands and she was eventually let go.
Jim Ross served as the head of talent relations in WWE from 1997 to 2005 and had seen a lot of things during his time in the role. In fact, this was most apparent during the late 1990s.
While speaking on the latest episode of Grilling JR, Jim Ross talked about Vince McMahon giving him a heads-up about the fact that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon began dating in 2000, which ultimately led to a lot of conflict with Chyna. In fact, Chyna’s contract was never renewed due to her attitude issues.
“I think her conduct and her mood and attitude quickly eliminated her from consideration from another contract.”
Chyna also allegedly threatened to end Stephanie McMahon’s life. Chyna will forever be remembered as a trailblazer for women’s wrestling in WWE, and her contributions will never be forgotten, long after her shocking death. Regardless, many fans still wish she never left WWE in the first place.
