Austin Theory is steadily building his reputation as one of WWE’s up-and-coming talents, showcasing his skills on television each week. The young wrestler has established himself as a formidable champion, with a solid record as the United States Champion, and continues to develop his abilities with each passing match. In fact, Ric Flair believes that Theory wrestling John Cena will make him a big player in WWE.
As people know, Theory was taking shots at John Cena and has even been compared to him. He had a brief confrontation with John Cena a few months ago last year, but nothing else happened after that.
The Leader of Cenation will be returning to WWE in his hometown for the March 6th, 2023 edition of RAW. John Cena even commented on his upcoming return to the red brand. Many also believe that it will serve as the beginning of Theory and Cena’s feud.
While speaking on his ‘To Be The Man’ podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair talked about Austin Theory squaring off against John Cena in the future. Flair stated that he believes Theory wrestling John Cena will make him a big player in WWE.
“If there is a position that will help the company and help an individual that he likes, he’s in. Theory wrestling John Cena automatically makes Theory a big player. Whether you think he is or not, he’s getting to wrestle John Cena. It’s not about John Cena anymore. It’s about ‘What can I do to make the company better and be a company guy?’”
Austin Theory vs John Cena is more or less a done deal and his comments only serve to build up the feud. We will have to wait and see how WWE will book their feud in the coming weeks.
