Bayley Originally Wanted Peyton Royce In Damage CTRL Stable

Damage CTRL is running roughshod over WWE’s women’s division, and it’s anyone’s guess where they will end up next. We will certainly see them on the road to WrestleMania, where they will likely be in a showcase match at the show of show. Things came together for IYO Sky, Dakota Kai, and Bayley, but there were a lot of things on the table.

While speaking with Ariel Helwani, Bayley revealed who she wanted for her stable. She originally wanted Peyton Royce in the Damage CTRL stable, which would have to see the former IIconics member return to the company. In the end, Peyton Royce didn’t return, got pregnant instead, and Damage CTRL did their thing without seeing her comeback.

“That is something that I’ve thought about for a couple years before it actually happened. I know Dakota has talked about this in her interviews in the past. It had a different group of people as the time went on. Peyton Royce was someone that I really wanted in there. Tegan Nox was someone that I wanted in there. There were a lot of people that it just kind of changed throughout time and as people left the company and things like that, but Dakota was always, she’s one of the OG’s that I always envisioned in this group.”

Damage CTRL could very well walk into WrestleMania as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Only time will tell what Triple H has in store, but he is obviously protecting this stable for a reason.

Peyton Royce didn’t see her WWE return, but she is still having a blast as a new mother. Royce, now known as Cassie Lee, is also still known to drop thirst trap photos from time to time as well.
