WWE is on the Road to WrestleMania, but they are doing so without Matt Riddle. Riddle was suspended for 60 days in December after failing WWE’s wellness policy for a second time. WWE sent him to rehab, supposedly stating that if he refused he would be fired.
We exclusively reported that WWE has no WrestleMania plan for Matt Riddle. He attended an awards show for the adult film industry this past January, but he hasn’t made any public appearances since then.
It was previously reported that Matt Riddle’s situation is proof that WWE has changed its policy. The company did not publicly announce Riddle’s Wellness Policy failure, as it has done in the past.
On February 25, Matt Riddle took to Twitter to declare his freedom, suggesting that he is finally out of rehab. The WWE Superstar grooved to a song while showing off his physique.
“Freedom isn’t free, bro,” Riddle said.
Matt Riddle’s last WWE match took place almost three months ago on the December 5th episode of SmackDown. The King Of Bros teamed with Kevin Owens in a losing effort against Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos.
A couple of weeks ago, The Original Bro took to Twitter to hint at returning soon from his hiatus. However, it’s unknown when Matt Riddle can actually make his way back to WWE considering the WrestleMania 39 card is headed toward its final stages and the only match where Riddle could potentially be involved is the annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
